SUMMARY
Bering Straits Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Computer Operator II/ Journeyman Customer Support Help Desk/Computer/Data Entry Operator for a government contract in Macon, GA. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing with minimal supervision; successfully managing task completion within established timelines; effect communicate with the lead and other government personnel; report on task status or process changes and other tasks required within the PWS; able to guide Entry Level operators to identify and follow established procedures; effective usage of independent judgement related to tasks and when engaging the public; effective and timely elevation of issues to Lead Agents.
Computer Operator II operates and monitors computer equipment. Performs routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and their peripherals. Being a Computer Operator II observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on monitor of terminal to detect faulty output or machine stoppage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform routine tasks, such as backups and data recovery
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Conduct system updates and patch management
- Ensure data security and integrity
- Maintain documentation of system operations, issues, and resolutions
- Assist with new software and hardware installations
- Ability to work as a team to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to create and optimize written procedures
- Showcase sound judgment, curtesy, and helpfulness when interacting via telephone or email
- Ability to use copy machines, read written instructions and reproduce paper documents according to instructions.
- Demonstrate expertise in data entry, utilizing ticketing systems experience is preferable.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- 1 year of relevant service desk support experience
- Experience in handling customer satisfaction issues
- Experience in reviewing data to identify trends and issues.
- Ability to perform routine printer maintenance includes lifting boxes of paper less than 50 pounds, loading paper into printing machines, changing the toner, and calling the appropriate printer service technician for machine service and repair as needed
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- Working knowledge of Windows-based computers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe.

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
