Berkadia is seeking an Associate Director of Mortgage Banking in Bellevue, Washington. This position offers a unique opportunity for early-career real estate finance professionals to grow through mentorship and hands-on experience in the multifamily mortgage banking sector. You will build relationships with a diverse array of lenders, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, life insurance companies, banks, REITs, CMBS/conduits, and debt funds. Additionally, you will learn to craft tailored short, intermediate, and long-term financial solutions to support clients in acquiring, refinancing, rehabilitating, and repositioning real estate investments.
Primary Responsibilities Include The Following.
Bachelor’s degree
1 years of experience in commercial lending, real estate, banking, or a related field (internships or entry-level experience considered).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel is a plus.
Self-motivated with a desire to grow in the commercial real estate finance industry.
The provided base salary information for this position is part of an overall national range. The actual salary within our range for this position will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The total compensation package for this role may also include additional incentive opportunities.
Compensation

Primary Responsibilities Include The Following.
- Drive deal sourcing through independent origination efforts
- Assist the network in performing borrower due diligence by analyzing financial data and pre-screening borrower qualifications.
- Collect and analyze required third party reports and provide them in loan packages for underwriter reviews.
- Model complex property cash flows to determine the viability of a deal.
- Perform reporting related to the Company’s deal pipeline on a timely basis to ensure transaction related information is up-to-date, accurate, reliable, and available.
- Actively participate and lead meetings with borrower clients and start to develop a foundation for relationships.
- Work collaboratively to procure new customers and leverage existing customers for potential deals by keeping informed of market and industry trends to provide reliable market intelligence.
- Develop and maintain broad knowledge of various loan programs, including government agencies and life insurance companies.
- Aid in preparing loan submission packages that meet the requirements of Berkadia’s internal and third-party capital sources.
- Other duties as assigned.
