Underwriting Analysts play a critical role at Berkadia supporting multi-billion-dollar lending platforms. The FHA Underwriting Analyst will assist in various aspects of FHA transactions. A candidate with the desire to learn and grow will have the opportunity to advance within the team and company overall.
Responsibilities
- Supports underwriters in the underwriting of FHA transactions
- Analyzes multifamily and senior housing real estate transactions, which includes assisting in the collection and review of loan due diligence materials, the generation of underwriting pro forma cash flows, identifying and evaluating risks associated with a proposed transaction, and preparing formal presentations for loan committee
- Prepares Concept Meeting packages for preliminary meetings with HUD
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of loan underwriting tasks performed by offshore resources as well as external third parties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work product
- Performs Mortgage Credit and related reviews and write-ups for FHA transactions
- Perform preliminary review of various third-party reports

Qualifications
- Knowledge of cash flow analysis and exposure to commercial real estate preferred
- Technology Experience with MS Office, especially Excel preferred
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to interface with team members, work in a team environment and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Previous experience required.
