At Berkeley College, we are seeking a visionary Dean for the Larry L. Luing School of Business, who will drive academic excellence and innovation in our programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for program development, working closely with faculty to plan curriculum and recommend resource needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations, conducting market analyses to drive new program growth and ensure relevance in meeting student and community needs.
- Oversee academic program reviews within the School of Business.
- Build strong relationships with business and civic communities, particularly Chambers of Commerce.
- Promote student success and completion through strategic initiatives.
- Ensure personnel oversight for the School of Business, including faculty and staff recruitment and support for professional growth.
- Oversee course scheduling, monitor faculty loads, supervise instructional programs, and facilitate assessment.
- Engage in data-driven strategic planning initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with laws and accreditation regulations.
- Serve on campus, advisory, and professional committees.
- Develop articulation agreements to reduce barriers to student success.
- Establish partnerships with corporate learning partners, high schools, and two-year colleges to increase opportunities for students.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong record of academic administration experience in higher education.
- Experience in curriculum development and evaluation.
- Evidence of innovation and entrepreneurial successes in an academic environment.
- Experience working with specialized accreditors, including Middle States Commission on Higher Education or equivalent.
- Experience with onsite, online, and blended course delivery methods.
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to motivate others towards a common goal.
- Able to build consensus among diverse groups.
- High level of professionalism and sound judgment.
- Familiarity with higher education policy issues.
- Willingness to travel to all New Jersey and New York campus locations.
