Berkeley College is seeking a full-time Director of Human Resources to oversee the organization’s personnel policies, practices and benefit programs in support of a dynamic, family-oriented workplace culture that values collaboration, creativity, inclusivity and excellence in student service. This position is based in Woodland Park, NJ.
Job Responsibilities :
- Direct the administration of benefit programs including health, retirement, disability and unemployment. Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit offerings.
- Work with department managers on all employee relations issues including grievances, discrimination claims, termination and severance issues.
- Support recruitment and hiring of new associates.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations including equal opportunity, disability, discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
- Oversee and recommend changes to personnel policies and procedures.
- Lead the performance management process as well as assessing training needs.
- Lead initiatives that promote a positive organizational culture and increase employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.
- Serve on planning and policy-making committees and other duties as assigned.
- Supervise a small but hard-working and dedicated human resources staff.
