Berkeley College is seeking a Site Supervisor / Security Officer to join our team in New York City, NY. The Site Supervisor, Security Officer will be responsible for the professional operation, administration, and quality assurance of uniformed security services for Berkeley College.
The Site Supervisor / Security Officer will maintain a professional demeanor while leading staff and aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
Job Overview
- Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Public Safety and Emergency Management, the candidate will be responsible for the professional operation, administration, and quality assurance of uniformed security services for Berkeley College.
- The Site Supervisor will lead security officers assigned to one or more posts at Berkeley College Campus.
- Acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed and that adequate reports are filed.
- Be responsible for the enforcement of the college’s visitor policy. Monitor all campus cameras. Respond to campus emergencies and document incidents.
- Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
