FACILITIES AND GROUNDS TECHNICIAN
OBJECTIVES
To assist the Supervisor of Facilities and Grounds in maintaining all buildings and grounds facilities and properties owned by the Cooperative for optimal efficiency, employee comfort, safety and positive public image.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in general maintenance a plus. Experience in lieu of education considered.
EXPERIENCE
Must have three (3) years related experience in general maintenance or related field. Two (2) years in position to gain requisite skills.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Must have a working knowledge of skilled trades, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing or construction.
ABILITIES & SKILLS
Must have the ability to communicate with employees and contractors/vendors. Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products and proficient computer skills. Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to work outdoors during inclement or severe weather, especially after storms. Must have ability to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Must be available during after-hours and weekends when needed.
