Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist located in Lake Jackson, TX. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating ocular conditions, prescribing contact lenses and glasses, managing pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, and providing patient education on eye health and preventative care. The Optometrist will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Active optometry license in the state of Texas or willing to secure in a reasonable amount of time.
- Experience in conducting eye exams and diagnosing ocular conditions
- Proficiency in prescribing contact lenses and glasses
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Experience in a similar setting or with specific eye conditions is a plus
