PREADMISSIONS RN JOB POSTING
The Preadmissions RN will serve as a leader in the organization, and must possess strong interpersonal skills so that he/she may effectively interact with staff and patients. This person must be self-motivated, detail-focused, and possess solid critical thinking skills. Flexibility and willingness to work “outside of the box” is a must.
What you will do in this role:
- Assist the Nurse Practitioner with reviewing health histories and coordinating surgical clearances for the patient, while participating in patient / family education.
- Work collaboratively with ancillary staff and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety and quality of care.
- Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers.
- Assist with obtaining information from interdisciplinary teams in a timely manner.
- Uphold HIPAA requirements at all times.
- Promote a supportive, team-work oriented environment and maintain a friendly working environment.
- Document accurately and complete necessary paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
- Fulfill departmental responsibilities consistent with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Berkeley Eye Center.
What qualification you will need:
· Current RN license in the state of Texas
· 6 months of experience as RN in surgical setting
· Current BLS issued by American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
Job type/benefits
· Full time (Monday to Thursday 8-5pm, and Fridays from 8-1 pm.)
· Office-based setting within Katy location
