What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Summer Associate- Corporate Finance Transaction Advisory position at Berkeley Research Group, LLC?
Our Summer Associate internships will be approximately 8 weeks in length and will begin Summer 2025. Summer Associate positions are for candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and July 2026.

The BRG Transaction Advisory practice is seeking to add Summer Associates due to client and market opportunities and demand. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a team-oriented environment on a diverse range of transaction advisory assignments. The ideal candidate will develop skills in the following areas:
- Financial Statement Review and Reconciliations
- Quality of Earnings
- Quality of Net Working Capital
- Business and Transactional Performance
Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day activities of BRG's Corporate Finance –Transaction Advisory client service teams executing on buy and sell side diligence engagements.
- Assist in identifying issues for purchase price adjustments and potential deal structuring insights.
- Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks including, but not limited to quality of earnings, financial trend analysis, working capital trending, and benchmark, financial statement review, business plan assessments and cash flow statements.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment; collaborate with TA and BRG experts, professionals from other firms and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives
- Assist in preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
- Participate in the development of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consulting practice including assisting in marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development.
- Demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Progression towards a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accounting or finance.
- Summer Associate positions are typically reserved for students who have one year remaining in their academic program.
- Proven capability with MS Excel is preferred. A desire to expand those capabilities is required.
- Desire to join a consulting or professional services environment
- Strong data analysis skills and problem-solving abilities
Salary Range: $20-35/hr
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship now or in the future.
