- Food Preparation:
- Preparing ingredients (washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, etc.).
- Following recipes for house prepared items.
- Cooking a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
- Operating kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, etc.).
- Plating and garnishing food for attractive presentation.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Collaborating with other kitchen staff and waitstaff.
- Quality Control:
- Ensuring food quality and taste consistency.
- Testing food temp to determine if it is cooked sufficiently.
- Making adjustments to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Other Duties:
- May assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen.
- Cleaning and washing dishes and equipment.
- May be responsible for preparing cold foods.
