Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.Federal Work Study student may apply.In good disciplinary standing.Must be located in the U.S.For complete program details, please go to our website : The Equity and Title IX (ETIX) Social Media Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the operations of the ETIX office, which includes managing the ETIX Instagram account and supporting other programming, like tabling. This role has a special focus in social media, directly supporting management of ETIX's @berkleeequity feed, with the possibility of creating content for Berklee Newsletters.

This role also provides support for the Equity and Title IX team's presence on campus, including team-hosted events and programs as well as other duties as assigned. This job gives students an opportunity to leverage social media knowledge in a professional setting and to engage and connect with the Berklee community.
Social Media Duties and Responsibilities :
Work with staff to develop social media plan and brainstorm content ideasCreate social media content with guidance from the ETIX teamSchedule social media posting, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages on Instagram (with guidance from ETIX staff)Capture and film contentAs assigned, collaboratively evolve social media goals for the departmentEngage with other creators; videos and contentPost to and monitor Instagram stories and mentions to generate interest in upcoming eventsOther Possible Duties and Responsibilities :
Represent the ETIX team at tabling events and programsDesign flyers for upcoming events and important announcements and post flyers around campus.Update the design and content of brochures and other written materials with guidance from the ETIX team.Work with supervisors on special projects as directed. These may include data reporting, research projects, and other assignments in close collaboration with staff.Knowledge and Skills / Requirements :
Experience with social media, especially Facebook, Instagram, and Tik TokWell-versed in recording and editing videos within the TikTok app (optional)Qualified candidates will have experience that shows they have strong interpersonal skills, are motivated, are highly organized, attentive to detail, sensitive to confidential information, mature and responsible.Semester level 2-8Strong verbal and written English skills. Additional language skills are a bonus.Technology skills : strong working knowledge of social media applications, Microsoft OfficeGoogle suite.Knowledge of relational databases, Garageband or Logic, Sibelius or Finale a plus.GPA of 3.0 or higherIdeal candidates include transfer students from one of Berklee's global partner (BGP) schools, students with at least 4 semesters of study remaining at Berklee, scholarship recipients, and / or students that have participated in Berklee global programs.
