Responsibilities
• Maintain Cyber underwriting and pricing discipline as required by all market conditions. • Responsible for the regional territory’s execution of all marketing/underwriting/pricing activities within the cyber guidelines, at acceptable risk levels and at targeted levels of profitability. • Provides training, support, and supervision of Northeast Underwriters. • Responsible for the planning, development and implementation marketing strategies to retain renewal business and secure new business opportunities. • Responsible for the regional territory’s new and renewal account analysis. • In all market phases leads the territory effort to triage business/opportunities at regional and companywide levels. Responsible for the identification (and allocation of resources to) areas that will produce maximum volume and profitability at acceptable risk levels.• Ensures the territory provides a superior level of customer service capable of creating a competitive advantage. • Builds and maintains well established relationships with key decision makers at targeted broker/agency companies that produce profitable volumes of business.• Leads the territory’s preparation and successful execution of plans to develop viable value-added services that result in the production of profitable business from clients. • Strong leadership skills required to successfully lead and manage a regional territory. • Responsible for the creation and successful execution of a business plan that maximizes overall profitability and performance of the regional office and the company.• Technical underwriting, pricing and risk analysis expertise capable of training internal and external constituencies and leading the effort to produce the desired volume and profitability of business. • Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of strategies to retain renewal business and secure new business opportunities for the territory.• Seasoned professional with highly developed local market contacts/relationships that are capable of building the required volume and profit levels required to ensure the success of the territory. • Capable of overnight travel required to manage the territory and produce the targeted levels of business and profit.• Highly skilled marketing ability capable of training staff as well as developing relationships and business that meet our objectives.
Qualifications
• 10 years of insurance industry experience with minimum of 5 years of specific Cyber experience (Broker and/or Underwriting) • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University/College• Advanced degrees and industry designations desirable• Highly developed internal and external leadership skills• Highly developed skills and experience to market • The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer. • Demonstrated capability of managing an assigned territory effectively and profitably.
