Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team working closely with department staff, key stakeholders and management. They will perform various financial activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting, in addition to and providing recommendations and insights to increase efficiency and make data-driven decisions.
This role will be located in our Scottsdale headquarters on a hybrid schedule.
- Analyze operating unit performance and provide variance analysis to summarize results and provide commentary to management.
- Analyze quarterly financial activity and compile quarterly CFO Call workbook for review by Controller and CFO and submission to President and Corporate headquarters.
- Assist in the completion of all aspects of the annual budget.
- Identify and proactively provide solutions for automation and process improvement.
- Provide key reports to various internal and external customers including adhoc requests and development of new reports.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries.
- Reconcile account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls.
- Support key projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 3 years of accounting and finance experience in a corporate environment.
- CPA designation is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP or Statutory accounting principals.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Deadline driven.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
