This co-op would work directly with our Insider Threat team and will have the opportunity to learn the basics and foundational skills needed for a successful career in Information Security and beyond. You will have the chance to learn specific skills related to incident management, assignment, time management skills, forensic investigations and user behavior analytics!

Berkley Technology Services: Right Team, Right Technology, Simple and Secure.
BTS Information Security is made up of three distinct departments: Vulnerability management, Security Architecture, and Incident Response and Threat intelligence. You would have the opportunity to work with and gain exposure to all of these teams. You will also get to work in an agile environment and use several information security tools while learning how corporations react to security-based incidents in their environment.
This co-op would work directly with our Insider Threat team and will have the opportunity to learn the basics and foundational skills needed for a successful career in Information Security and beyond. You will have the chance to learn specific skills related to incident management, assignment, time management skills, forensic investigations and user behavior analytics!
- Participation in daily activities of our CSIRT/IR team
- Handling basic investigative report creation
- Creation/maintenance of documentation
- Participate in the collection of forensic evidence
- Utilize tools such as Archer, AXIOM, DTEX & Purview
- Collaborate with teams across BTS such as HR, Legal, and Security Engineering
- Complete overall project presentation and presents to Leadership level group upon completion of co-op
- Registered undergraduate student pursuing a major in an IT-related degree with a preferred overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- At least two completed year of undergraduate education in an cyber-security related degree
- Basic understanding of risk management principles for information technology
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Interest in a technical career in the field of Information Security
- Participation in extracurricular and leadership activities a plus
- Prior internship/co-op experience is preferred but not required
