This position may be fully remote but for you must reside within BNP's territory:

For those within a commutable distance to our Meridian, ID office, we offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Claims Representative, you will investigate moderate to complex commercial casualty claims in a prompt, equitable manner by analyzing coverage, liability, and damages; evaluating reserves; and negotiating settlement or conclusion of claims. This role is ideal for a claims professional who has a proven ability to handle complex coverage, liability, and damage issues. We'll trust you to proactively manage litigated claims while collaborating with defense counsel.

We'll count on your:

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess claims, review evidence, and determine coverage, liability and damages.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for interacting with claimants, witnesses, and legal professionals.
  • Negotiation: Expertise in settling claims fairly while managing costs.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with claims management software and tools.
  • Curiosity and Innovation: Demonstrates an inherent curiosity to explore new ideas, seek out better ways of doing things, and consistently ask ‘why’ or ‘how.’ Apply critical thinking to problem-solving and embraces challenges as learning opportunities.

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  • 5 years casualty claims experience 
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and inter-personal skills
  • Obtain and retain required state adjuster licenses
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools 
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as required for proper claim resolution

What makes you stand out:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Commercial casualty claims experience i.e. Automobile, General Liability, Product Liability, Umbrella claims and Construction Defect claims
  • Advanced insurance education desired, e.g., AIC, CPCU, SCLA
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
