Responsibilities
We have an opportunity for an Executive Underwriter- Surety to join our team! You will be responsible to produce and underwrite new and renewal business from assigned agents / brokers in the primary line of business. This position involves both outside and inside business development and includes direct responsibility for agency development and management within a book of business.

Key functions include but are not limited to :
- Underwrite, assess, and manage surety program needs within a portfolio of active accounts
- Effectively evaluate bond forms and contract documents in an effort to assess risk
- Develop and leverage productive agency / client relationships through a high level of visibility with agents, brokers and clients in support of business objectives
- Plan and execute effective regular travel to develop and enhance new and existing producer and account relationships
- Effectively communicate the mission and objectives of Berkley Surety in account meetings with confident, clear communication
- Document and maintain accurate account information in our information systems, on a timely basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
