Job Responsibilities:
1. Assistant Store Manager in the day to day functions of running the store, responsible for opening and closing of the store
2. Have functional knowledge of all departments within the store; Deli, Bakery, Produce, Meat. Grocery, Front End
3. Provide quality customer service at all times, handle customer comments and special requests
4. Assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of all new Employees
5. Understand and enforce all company policies as it relates to best practices in the Employee Handbook
6. Supervise a team of 3-20 employees store wide at one time, prioritizing tasks and functions for the day
7. Work with Store Manager for counseling on problems, recommendations for change, and effectiveness on merchandising decisions
8. Understand use and safety on all pieces of machinery and equipment
9. Uphold OSHA safety and Health code Standards in every department
10. Make decisions concerning: placement of merchandise, pricing, employee scheduling, expense control, store shrink, ordering of products, department operating procedures and sales/ promotion of merchandise
11. Communicate to customer, employees, managers and supervisors
