What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wrapper - Meat position at Berkot's Super Foods?
Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
Maintain department sanitation by cleaning and sanitizing all work surfaces, utensils and equipment. Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
Must be able to work in an environment that includes continuous duties in refrigerated cutting rooms and storage areas with occasional duties in frozen food storage boxes maintained at temperatures as low as 20 degrees below zero.
Adhere to all Federal, State and Local regulations as they pertain to the Meat operation.
Dress according to company policy to include uniform, name badge, and hat or hair restraint. Comply with hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food.
Follow approved procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, and price marking, arranging, and restocking products to ensure quality, accuracy, and product rotation and protection.
Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
Fills in meat cases when required.
Follow approved procedures for weighing, wrapping, price marking and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation.
Removes trash to designated area.
Must possess a strong knowledge of safe food handling and demonstrate safe work habits.
