Our practice provides comprehensive legal services to clients, helping them navigate complex legal and financial matters. We are looking to expand our team with an experienced attorney to support our growing tax, trust, and estate practice.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled attorney with 2 years of experience in tax, trust, and estate law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, tax compliance, and the administration of trusts and estates. Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to clients on tax planning, estate planning, and the administration of trusts and estates.
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
- Advise clients on estate and gift tax issues, including strategies for minimizing taxes.
- Assist with probate and trust administration matters, including the filing of tax returns and preparation of financial reports.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws, estate planning, and related legal developments.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals (e.g., financial planners, accountants) to provide comprehensive service to clients.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- 2 years of experience in tax law, trust, and estate planning.
- Active New Jersey law license (required); New York license (preferred).
- LLM a plus, but not required.
- Strong understanding of estate and gift taxation, fiduciary duties, and probate processes.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and team-oriented approach.
