The Resource Manager in the tax department is responsible for the strategic planning and efficient allocation of resources across a team of 200 professionals. This role ensures optimal staffing for tax engagements across various industries, including international high-net-worth clients, real estate, and business services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Resource Allocation: Assign team members to engagements based on skillset, availability, and client needs while balancing workloads across the department.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor staff capacity and forecast future resource needs, coordinating with leadership to align with business objectives.
• Engagement Coordination: Collaborate with industry leads to meet specialized client requirements, including international, high-net-worth, and real estate-specific tax engagements.
• Staff Development: Partner with managers to identify skill gaps, recommend training opportunities, and support career development to meet the department’s strategic goals.
• Efficiency and Utilization: Track and analyze utilization rates, ensuring efficient deployment of resources while maintaining high client service standards.
• Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the tax team, client service leaders, and HR to address resourcing challenges, hiring needs, and employee satisfaction.
• Technology Integration: Leverage resource management software and tools to streamline scheduling, reporting, and communication within the department.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in resource or workforce management, preferably in a professional services or tax environment.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
