Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Part-time)
Location: Reading, PA

Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible schedule
Job Summary: The Part-time Maintenance Technician is responsible for a range of facility and operational tasks, including picking up donations, performing minor plumbing repairs, setting up the auditorium for events, and organizing heavy boxes. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organization’s facilities are well-maintained and prepared for various activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Donation Pickup: Collect donations from various locations as scheduled, ensuring items are handled with care and transported safely to the organization’s facility.
- Minor Plumbing Repairs: Address basic plumbing issues such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing minor components as needed.
- Event & Classrooms Setup: Prepare the auditorium/classrooms and other event spaces for classes meetings, workshops, and special events, including arranging furniture, setting up audiovisual equipment, and ensuring all logistical details are in place.
- Heavy Lifting and Organization: Manage and organize boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, including sorting, labeling, and storing items efficiently.
- General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is clean, safe, and functional, including minor repairs and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with safety regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance, facility management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and repair techniques.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for donation pickup duties.
