Berkshire Brewing & Distributing is looking for Shared Brand Sales Representative that will focus on 2 to 4 brands within the Distributor's portfolio. Berkshire as a distributor sells 50 different brands and this position will be only covering up to 4 of those brands with a focus on Eastern MA. Although this position will focus on Eastern MA there will be some travel to Western MA and Central MA.
The hope is for this sales person to have a few years of beverage sales experience and live somewhere that is within 45 minutes of Boston.
Berkshire Brewing Company has been around since 1994 and is a wine/spirits/beer distributor for the full state of Massachusetts.
Job Responsibilities
-Shared Brand Representative must be prepared to plan their weekly schedule with appointments, sales calls and account maintenance visits.
-Build strong relationships with their accounts representing Berkshire Brewing Company at the highest possible level.
-Grow their distribution within each account which could mean new draft lines in the on premise and new package placements in the off premise.
-Candidate must be a closer and feel very comfortable cold calling. The ideal candidate has experience in the business development function of sales opening new accounts.
-Shared Brand Representative must be able to effectively handle their customer's accounts receivable collection process.
-Operational logistics are always present and the prospective candidate must be able to multitask well.
-Other duties will come up as time goes on, the candidate must be prepared for additional tasks such as working tastings, on premise events and beer festivals as needed.
Job Requirements
-The Ideal candidate is self motivated, high energy, competitive, hardworking, reliable and persistent. This person should possess a strong work ethic and is able to be motivated in an autonomous work environment.
-Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Alcohol/Sales related Work Experience
-Alcohol sales or Route sales experience is required with a minimum of 2 years.
-Must have dependable transportation and a clean driving record.
-The candidate ideally lives in Eastern MA.
