About the Role:

The Infant Lead will play a crucial role in the development and care of infants within our facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This position is responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth in infants. The Infant Lead will also oversee a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and adherence to best practices. Additionally, this role involves regular communication with parents and guardians to discuss their child's progress and address any concerns. Ultimately, the Infant Lead will contribute to the overall mission of fostering a positive and enriching experience for both infants and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with infants in a childcare or educational setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare environment.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for infants.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of caregivers, ensuring compliance with safety and care standards.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
  • Conduct regular assessments of infants' developmental milestones and adjust activities accordingly.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for infants and staff.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with both infants and their parents. Leadership skills are vital as the Infant Lead will guide and support a team of caregivers, ensuring they provide the best care possible. Organizational skills are necessary for planning activities and maintaining a structured environment conducive to learning and growth. Additionally, a solid understanding of child development will inform the creation of appropriate activities that cater to the needs of infants. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of early childhood education principles, will enhance the quality of care and educational experiences provided to the infants.
