The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for managing the agency's accounts Receivable and Cash Management operations, ensuring efficient collections, accurate financial reporting, and strategic cash flow planning to meet both current and future obligations. Your role will also include providing oversight and mentorship to the AR and billing teams, fostering professional growth, and ensuring adherence to agency policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted accounting principles. Stronger Communities New York (SCNY) is the parent company providing administrative support for both The House of the Good Shepherd and Together for Youth. This position will be a part of SCNY and is based in Canaan, NY. The Director of Revenue Management will follow the Together for Youth(TFY) guidelines regarding benefits, compensation and all policies and procedures as outlined in the HGS employee handbook.
Job Responsibilities Assist with planning and projecting cash flow to assist the agency on project planning and meeting current and future obligations. Ensures all accounts receivable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements. Maximize collections to ensure the agencys ability to meet financial obligations. Establish consistent procedures surrounding collections and consistent and effective follow up on previous collections action items. Develop and maintain a structure creating back-ups for each role in AR and billing. Develop ongoing training for all members of the team specific to the role of billing. Keep up to date on all regulations regarding billing requirements. Implement any changes timely, appropriately and in full compliance. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements and agency policies and procedures. Regular supervision per agency schedules of direct reports that foster continual skill development and professional growth; direct, monitor and intervene as necessary with workflow / processes / schedules and making recommendations for other personnel actions including hiring, separations, additional support, promotions, and demotions. Plan, recommend, implement, and direct productivity improvement, process efficiencies and cost saving projects. Ensure revenue is recorded accurately for reporting, funding, and auditing. Assist with requests pertaining to internal / external audits as requested. Review and approve balance sheet account reconciliations monthly. Other related assignments as delegated by Finance Leadership.
Job Requirements Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting or related field with one to three years experience preferably in a mid-size non-profit organization Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Ability to work in a culturally and economically diverse population. Ability to function as a team player.
Salary & Schedule
- 90,000 to $100,000 annually
- Schedule is 9AM to 5pm, Monday - Friday.
