Per Diem Group Home Worker

DescriptionJoin Our MissionAs a PD Group Home Worker, you will be responsible for creating a therapeutic and nurturing home environment for youth in a group home setting. The goal of the position is to maintain a safe, secure atmosphere conducive to the youth's positive growth and change. This includes teaching daily and independent living skills, mentoring and promoting community integration.Job Responsibilities Maintain a safe, secure atmosphere conducive to the youth's positive growth and change. Teach youth daily and independent living skills, mentoring and promoting community integration. Responsible for monitoring the behavior of the youth living in the home, which includes mediating disputes, taking dangerous items out of a client's possession or coaching. Assist Group Home leadership with the admission of new youth and discharge. Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED, required; Associates Degree in Human Services, preferred Minimum 1 year of experience working with at risk youth preferred TCI, First Aid / CPR certification required or ability to obtain and maintain certification Must have a current, valid driver's license per Agency guidelines. Travel required. Ability to work a flexible schedule, outside of normal business hours including nights and weekends.
