Entry Level Vending Service technicians at Berkshire Food play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for outstanding service and customer responsiveness. As an Entry Level service tech you will train to learn all aspects of the service department - Installation, removal, general repair of all type of vending equipment which includes but is not limited to Snack, Drink, Cold food, Coffee machines. Experience and knowledge of or general knowledge or mechanical, electrical, plumbing, are helpful but not necessary. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vending machines, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will utilize core skills in equipment repair. Your ability to understand schematics and computer hardware will enhance your effectiveness in troubleshooting and resolving issues, making you a vital part of our service team. Duties & Responsibilities
Repair, test, maintain all types of vending machines including equipment installed at micro markets in response to service calls
- Establish good rapport with service location employees and solicit feedback to ensure customer satisfaction
- Operate company service truck safely and follow weekly maintenance schedule
- Maintain parts inventories, order repair parts and keep accurate service records
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas
- Visually inspect and locate causes of malfunctions/diagnose areas requiring attention
Skills & Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude
- Valid drivers license and excellent driving record
- Solid work ethic and dependability
- Commitment to learning the business and thorough execution of duties
- HVAC experience a plus
- Type I Refrigeration Certification experience a plus
- Vending repair experience a plus, but will train
- Solid work ethic and dependability
- Organizational ability
