Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Desktop Support/Help Desk Specialist to become a key member of our IT team. This position plays a crucial role in providing effective and timely IT assistance to our staff, managing, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting the overall functionality of our IT systems. The successful candidate should have a solid foundation in IT support services, familiarity with cloud-based solutions, hands-on experience with both virtual and physical computing environments, understanding of networking principles, and a keen awareness of IT security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide IT Support for team members both locally and remotely.
- On-Call for critical office supporting functions.
- Build, install and support laptops and desktops
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding process
- Update and maintain computer inventory
- Support in testing and deployment of new apps and systems
- Assisting in audio/visual support
- Documenting processes and procedures
- IT duties as assigned by manager
Skills/Technical Requirements:
- Hungry to learn various other aspects of IT including infrastructure and applications
- A sense of humor, can-do attitude, no ego, flexible and customer focused approach
- Proven experience in Windows and Linux support. Mac experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Multi-factor authentication, Azure AD and Okta SSO
- User and email account management experience in Office365
- Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues on laptops.
- Demonstrates understanding of networking and VPN technologies.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated competence with automation and asset management tools to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Ability to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A 2-year college degree and/or relevant industry experience or certifications.
