Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software QA Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The engineer in this role will conduct comprehensive testing of both physical hardware components and the software that controls them to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role requires working with multidisciplinary teams to understand what is required to test new system features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review CONOPs / requirements to develop test plans for new features.
- Execute test plans and test cases on both simulated and physical robotics systems.
- Identify, document, and track defects in Jira.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct release testing before new features are delivered to production.
- Understand the impact that SW, HW or Firmware changes may have on the system.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and testing methodologies to continually improve the testing process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in software and physical device testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in software testing methodologies, including test plan and test case development.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and test case management systems (e.g., TestRail).
- Practical experience with Linux, bash and Docker.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills while working in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in testing robotic systems.
- Practical knowledge of any of these technologies: Python, Kubernetes, Git and GitHub, ELK stack.
- Curiosity, resourcefulness and adaptability.
