Overview
We are currently seeking a Supervisor to oversee an insurance underwriting team within our Small Business Unit.
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing approximately 8 - 12 direct reports on the small business regional underwriting team. This role will handle higher level referrals, communicate new directives to the team, and work with management on underwriting strategies.

Business Supervisor
Responsibilities
The Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of a Team, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Supervision and oversight of staff to include production, quality, and training for both new and existing staff.
- Provides regular coaching and constructive feedback to staff.
- Management of workflow and Service Levels.
- Monitoring of daily production within the unit.
- Regular communication with agents.
- Responding to any escalated calls and/or e-mails
Salary Range
$60,000.00-$90,000.00 USD
The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3-4 days per week and also be available for travel as required.
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Knowledge of the following three business lines preferred: Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Businessowners Policy
- Minimum of 4 years of underwriting experience
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred, but will consider a combination of insurance experience and prior work history in lieu of supervisory experience
- Leadership ability
- Problem solving/analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient use of a computer
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Salary : $55,000 - $85,000
