Job Opportunity :
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Complex Claims Director, Transactional Liability. This position reports to the Head of Transactional Liability Claims and is located in New York or Boston.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine extent of exposure to insured and company
- Directly and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel
- Provide outstanding customer service and build longstanding relationships with insureds, brokers, and partners
- Communicate coverage positions to insureds
- Set and monitor reserves within authority
- Support business leaders on an as-needed basis on claims and underwriting-related issues
- Attendance at mediations and trials, as necessary

The base salary range for this position is from $170,000 – $190,000 along with annual bonus eligibility; a candidate’s actual salary is commensurate with experience as determined by their relevant skills and experience.
