What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pathway-ADN Berkshire Medical Center position at Berkshire Medical Center?
Job Summary
Registered nurses set up plans for patient care. Registered nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families. The Pathway position is to sponsor students in an LPN educational program. Students will maintain a part time position at Berkshire Health Systems while in school and will be compensated for a full-time position.
Experience
- Patient Care experience preferred.
Education and Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion or acceptance into a Nursing Assistant course (BHS offers a course to be completed if needed)
- Acceptance into a LPN educational program.
License, Certification & Registration
- CPR certification is required.
- MA NA REGISTRY - MA Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
Other Requirements
- Ability to follow guidelines, protocols and/or policies specific to each unit and the institution.
- Familiarity with Meditech preferred.
- Medical terminology required or willingness to pursue as necessary.
- Ability to consistently interact in a professional manner with patients, families, physicians, other members of the healthcare team. Adheres to BMC Service Excellence Standards in performance of work role.
- Must possess and demonstrate excellent organizational skills necessary to complete complicated and multiple tasks accurately and concurrently.
- Must have the ability to accept and facilitate changes within systems, work methods, policies, procedures, etc.
- Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to maintain congenial and calm composure in stressful environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with hospital policy and various regulations.
- Ability to promote patient safety with detail to accuracy.
- Demonstrates dependability to maintain a work schedule.
