Maintenance

Berkshire Nursing Home is a 175-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in West Babylon NY. Our mission is to provide the highest level of care for each of our residents. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented and efficient Maintenance Technician at our facility in West Babylon!

Responsibilities include:

• Work well as a member of a team as well as individually under the direction of the Director of Maintenance
• Perform preventive and proactive building engineering maintenance duties such as: plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC, mechanical, etc.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with supervisor when performing routine assignment in resident living areas.
• Assist with other related maintenance duties as necessary or as directed by supervisor
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment is properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year basic maintenance experience and knowledge. Healthcare facility experience a plus.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, construction, mechanical work required.
• Must work well as part of a team.
