We are seeking a caring and dedicated Charge Nurse to join our rapidly growing team at our skilled nursing facility in West Babylon!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain accurate patient records and closely monitor vital signs.
- Lead and support our dedicated nursing staff, providing supervision and assistance.
- Manage daily administrative tasks, including scheduling, assigning duties, and overseeing patient care.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges for seamless transitions.
- Communicate patient status to the Unit Manager.
- Foster a nurturing and collaborative work environment, offering guidance to staff members.
- Provide empathetic support to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Collaborate with doctors and administrators to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate protocol updates efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, creating a safe environment for all.
- Keep essential reports up-to-date to maintain operational efficiency.
- Respond swiftly and calmly to any emergencies or issues that arise.
Minimum Qualifications include:
- Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in New York State
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Has knowledge of Federal and State health regulations
- Experience with care plans and strong documentation skills
- BLS Certification
- RN License
Schedule: 3 Night Shifts a week. 12pm to 8am.
