Are you an Minimum Data Set MDS Assistant looking for a rewarding career in Providence ? Join our exceptional team at, conveniently located at 455 Douglas Ave, Providence, RI 02908 . We are seeking a dedicated Minimum Data Set MDS Assistant to help us deliver outstanding care to our residents.
Your Role as Minimum Data Set MDS Assistant :
- Assist in the gathering supporting documentation to aid in the completion of MDS assessments for residents, including gathering clarifications and documentation from admissions, nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure MDS interviews are completed within required timeframes and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Clarify Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) coding accuracy and completeness prior to Assessment Reference Date (ARD).
- Issue Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage (NOMNC) and Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) in accordance with CMS guidelines.
- Enter and update ICD 10 codes after reviewing medical records.
- Facilitate continued stay authorizations with case managers of our contracted managed care plans.
- Coordinate care plan schedules in accordance with MDS ARDs.
