Production Manager
THE PASS is an adult-use recreational cannabis business led by experienced entrepreneurs from the spirits, cannabis and marketing industries. We are located in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts’ southernmost town of Sheffield.
The Production Manager is responsible for leading and navigating day-to-day manufacturing operations. This involves working hands-on with cannabis products and manufacturing equipment such as cannabis flower trimming machines, pre-roll machines, and solventless extraction equipment. The goal is to optimize production procedures and succeed in producing consistent, safe, and quality products. Communication skills, organization, attention to safety, detail and time management are critical to the success of our warehouse. The Production Manager should posses and in-depth knowledge of cannabis as well as strong background in the production and manufacturing of a diverse range cannabis products.
Exempt employees are expected to complete tasks regardless of the hours required to do them. If staying late or coming in early is required to do the job, exempt employees are frequently expected to do just that.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Manage staff’s timecards, schedules, and PTO/Sick time requests accurately
- Leading in the operation and maintenance of extraction equipment.
- Maintain and update accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and logs.
- Assist with processing of raw materials, including weighing, grinding, cleaning and general packaging work.
- Ensure clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Ensure compliance in all aspects of production and inventory
- Work closely with the Inventory Manager to monitor finished goods inventory levels
- Responsible for maintaining accurate Metrc inventory
- Ability to accept all cannabis transfers
- Perform extraction tasks including mixing vape oils, ice water extraction process
- Coordinating lab testing
- Oversee the destruction of waste product
- Work closely with Operations on continual improvements projects
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Cannabis extraction experience required
- Strong background in cannabis processing
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with laboratory equipment
- In-depth understanding of compliance laws for the Massachusetts cannabis industry
- Ability to work on own with minimal direction and solve problems
- Adherence to policies and procedures
- Ability to use and manage METRC; experience using METRC (or other regulatory seed-to-sale tracking system) required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to meet all shift requirements with regularity, predictability and consistency
