What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher - LTS - Maternity Leave position at Berlin Memorial School?
This is a long-term substitute position to cover a maternity leave. The start date is approximately 4/1/2025 and will last through the end of the year.
Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Experience in special education
Training, experience, knowledge in: disability areas, conducting assessments, interpretation of testing reports, behavioral interventions, direct interventions (specialized reading programs) and supporting inclusive practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly through writing and oral presentation
Strong organizational skills, managing multiple projects, conducting research and developing programs.
Knowledge of Special Education laws/regulations at the state and federal level.
