Berliner Cohen is seeking an experienced mid-level employment law attorney with 5 years of experience to join the growing Employment Law practice in San Jose.
The ideal applicant will have counseled clients and litigated wage and hour cases, class action cases, as well as employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in California state and federal courts, responded to administrative charges, and be familiar with wage laws, leave and compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour), policy development, compliance training and managing pre-litigation disputes. Applicant must have experience with preparing responsive pleadings, engaging in motion practice, responding to discovery as well as counseling clients on employment law. Hybrid will be considered for a well-qualified candidate.
The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background, a proven track record of strong performance and measurable results with exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills.
The Mid-Level Attorney with 5 years’ salary range is dependent on experience and areas of expertise $170,000 to $200,000. The successful candidate's salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate's qualifications and experience.
