Operations Coordinator Role
Our e-commerce business is growing quickly. You’ll have the opportunity to get in early in a high-growth and dynamic company. We’re looking for an all-around rock star, able to wear multiple hats during this growth phase and shift between multiple sectors of the business based on current company needs. This is a hybrid sales & production role integrating you into all aspects of the business by assisting our production and sales manager. The ideal candidate for this role will have past fine jewelry experience and a passion for learning all aspects of the jewelry industry.
What you'll do at Berlinger :
Assist our Sales Manager with in-person appointments in our showroom – this includes setting up the showcase in our DTLA showroom, meeting one on one with clients, and email follow up with appointments.
Assist our Sales Manager in person by providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating knowledge of our pieces. Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions by providing expert advice and personalized recommendations.
Product Knowledge & Jewelry Education : Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in fine jewelry and possess a thorough understanding of the features and benefits of our products. You’ll be able to provide our customers with a thorough education about jewelry, metals, diamonds and gemstones, and the process of purchasing an engagement ring.
Attend pop-up events in Boston, Chicago, and Houston locations with our Sales Manager.
Customer Service : Assist any inbound phone or email inquiries to our primary email channel for assistance with repairs, resizing, exchange, or manufacturing defects.
Coordinate with the production team and shipping team to ensure timely repair / resize / replacement of jewelry for any repairs.
Assist our production manager with quality checking of castings, stones, and finished pieces
Assist our production manager with sourcing sapphires, diamonds, and findings for our pieces
Running several errands by foot in the jewelry district daily, including between our jewelers and diamond dealers.
Requirements :
Previous sales or production experience in jewelry (required). This is extremely important, we will only consider candidates with prior jewelry sales experience.
Excellent communication and organizational skills via. Phone, email, and in-person with clients.
Strong sense of initiative, self-motivation and goal-oriented.
Great attention to detail, and highly organized.
Must be able to work select Saturdays / Sundays (only for pop up events, which is 3X per year)
Must be located, or able to relocate to Los Angeles and work in person M-F. This is not a remote role.
Passion and love for jewelry and the jewelry industry is a MUST.

The ideal candidate will be able to work a full-time schedule of Monday - Friday 10am-5pm. This role is in-person at our Los Angeles showroom location.
This position is $35 / hour for 2 months, with the option to turn into full-time salaried work after the trial period.
