BSI is one of the largest skin laser centers in the world, with over 50 lasers on site, and many other non-laser devices for skin and hair conditions, such as 4 ARTAS robots for hair transplant.

BSI is looking for energetic Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing dermatology and cosmetic surgery practices. BSI has an opportunity on our Los Altos Office. Pay $25-$32 an hour DOE.

Patient Care Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
- maintain a high level of patient care.
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, wound care instructions and physician’s instructions to patients
- Educates patients and their families on the care plan; provides details related to treatments, procedures, medications, and continuing care requirements.
- Develops interdisciplinary management tools by participating in meetings, coordinating information, and care requirements.
- Evaluates outcomes of care with the interdisciplinary team by measuring intervention effectiveness with the team.
- Complies with hospital and legal requirements by fostering nursing practices that adhere to the hospital’s rules and regulations.
- Protects self, co-workers, and patients by following policies and procedures to prevent bloodborne and airborne diseases.
- Respects patient’s rights by maintaining their confidentiality.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Maintains patient care database by entering new information as it becomes available.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Performs other duties as needed

Education and Experience Requirements
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- CPR
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations
- Basic to intermediate computer operation
- Knowledge and general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
Additional Knowledge/Skills
- 2 year's experience in a medical setting preferred
- Dermatology experience a plus
- High level of emotional and professional maturity and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and trust, navigate and flex to varied personalities and communications styles
- Unquestionable work ethic, personal integrity, and honesty
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
