What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Specialist position at Berman Truck Group?
Position Responsibilities include the following, and other related duties:
- Facilitate onboarding, including sending employment information and screening new hires and completing new hire documentation
- Communicate candidate information to managers and senior leadership
- Manage job postings and perform candidate vetting to assist management in the hiring process
- Monitor HR email inbox, serving as the first response to candidate inquiries
- Coordinate, with direction from leadership team, the annual benefit election process
- Understand and monitor benefits for employees; assisting them in understanding and utilizing benefit programs and processing invoices from insurance carriers
- Utilize MS Teams for monthly handbook review meetings and task assignments
- Provided input in the development of benefit communications, such as emails, bulletin board postings, open enrollment guides, etc
- Manage offboarding employees to ensure employee needs, business security, and benefit accuracy
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Associates in Human Resources, Business Management, or other related field
- One to three years benefit administrative experience preferred
- Willing to travel to other branch locations for onboarding and open enrollment
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and rules which govern selected benefit programs
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent Communications skills – both written and oral
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Salary: $55,000 to $70,000
Hours: Monday through Friday
