What are the responsibilities and job description for the Notifier position at Bermex?

We provide expert meter reading services and solutions to utilities and associated organizations across the United States. Our services include leak detection, atmospheric corrosion inspection, line location, software solutions, and water, gas, and electric meter reading and exchanges.
Role Description:
- Interact with stakeholders, utility customers, and installation technicians.
- Notify property owners about upcoming gas meter exchanges through in-person interactions or door hanger cards.
- Address customer and property owner questions regarding the gas meter exchange process.
- Provide general information about the gas meter exchange, when applicable.
- Escalate customer or property owner complaints to the appropriate personnel when immediate answers are unavailable.
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Work independently to plan and execute the most efficient routes for customer notifications.
- Adapt to varied terrain and inclement weather with a flexible schedule.
- Use a company-provided laptop or tablet to dispatch appointments to available technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: No prior experience required; training provided.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Location:
- Employees will take a company-provided vehicle directly to their assigned locations. Regular office reporting is not required.

- Department & Division: Avangrid Rochester.
- Exempt Status: Non-Exempt.
- Reports To: Gas Meter Supervisor.
Internal Collaboration:
- Field leadership and personnel.
- Corporate teams.
External Collaboration:
- Customers and vendors, as necessary.
Work Environment:
- Primarily outdoors and remote, using a company vehicle.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

- Wear personal protective equipment for extended periods.
This position is classified as exempt based on job duties. However, final classification may vary based on FTE, salary level, or applicable federal, state, and local laws.
