Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure the efficient completion of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work in diverse environments. The Equipment Operator will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards while performing tasks that contribute to the overall success of our operations. Pay rate is determined by experience and an evaluation will be conducted after 90 days with possible pay increase.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, front loaders, and other machinery as required.
- Perform digging and excavation tasks with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while operating equipment on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and project progress.
Skills
- Proficient in some or all heavy equipment operation, including backhoe operation, loader operation, and dump truck driving.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery.
- Experience with commercial driving and operating Heavy equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Mine experience is preferred
- MSHA Certification is a plus but not required.
