What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Bermuda Village?
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum eligibility requirements
• Must be 21 years of age
• At least six (6) months prior experience in hotels, restaurants, country clubs or banquet facilities preferred.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly while recognizing that the community is the residents’ home.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
• Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential Functions
• Inspects the bar prior to opening and closing to ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Maintains a clean bar area and equipment.
• Maintains records and inventory of liquors, beer and wine.
• Prepares garnishes, mixers and pre-mixers.
• Works closely with Dining Room Supervisor and Director of Hospitality.
• Works cooperatively with other servers and assist with meal service, including waiting tables and running food.
• Receives deliveries in accordance with purchase orders.
• Assists in daily cleanup of bar.
• Be in uniform at all times during your shift.
• Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or Director of Hospitality.
