Job Title: PM MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Reports To: PM MAINTENANCE FOREMAN
General Job Description:
Ensure that the District is compliant with all requirements of the Preventative Maintenance Plan. Assist in preparation of building FMAR inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all preventative maintenance work orders, as assigned.
- Properly document completion and costs of all completed work orders.
- Assist with the use of PM Direct for PM plans and schedules.
- Work collaboratively with supervisor to maintain an inventory of supplies and parts needed to successfully carry out the District Preventative Maintenance Plan.
- Prepare each site for state FMAR inspection, including roofs and drainage.
- Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, Local and Board of Education guidelines.
- Assist other maintenance teams as directed.
- Established appropriate safety practices for himself, personnel in public buildings and personnel under supervision at work sites.
- Assists in providing cost estimates for repairs, installations and maintenance.
- Complete assigned work orders and document time and materials.
- Work as part of a regional team to ensure that district sites and properties are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- May operate motor equipment related to assigned tasks.
- Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase, and maintains the inventory of district owned hand tools, equipment, hardware, materials and supplies.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Superintendent.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Other Maintenance staff, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Skills and/or licensure in areas of construction, maintenance, or building trades.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs/ladders, reaching, squatting, kneeling, having full mobility, and moving furniture may be required, unless ADA accommodations have been mutually agreed on and does not create an undue hardship upon the district.
Safety and Health:
Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions (blood borne pathogens, body fluids, etc.)
Equipment/Material Handled:
Must know how to properly operate, or be willing to learn to operate, multi-media equipment including current technology as needed.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work within various degrees of noise and temperature. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments without direct supervision. After hours work may be required. May work under stressful conditions on occasion.
