Summary / Qualifications / Responsibilities :
- This position requires that the Educational Assistant works with students who have an IEP.
- Services may be in General Education or Special Education classrooms.
- This position may require self-help needs such as diapering, feeding skills and / or escorting students to and from class or therapy.
- Assuring that modifications are being followed as per IEP is a requirement.
- This position may need to use a lift to assist students from wheelchairs to changing table.

- Reports To : BUILDING PRINCIPAL General Job Description :
- Assists the teacher in Special Education classroom with daily classroom instructional and non-instructional activities.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assists in small group pupil instruction; tutor pupils at teacher's request;
Communicate accurate and up to date information to students in a way that enhances student learning.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Students in class(es)
High school diploma.
Sitting, standing, lifting, and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and moving light furniture may be required.
Transportation Increment : Each staff member who works full-time at Santo Domingo School or Chochiti School, and lives more than 20 miles from their worksite, shall receive an annual increment of $2000. Home Address will be verified by staff member's home untility bill.
Salary : $2,000
