Scrum Master/Project Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY (Hybrid – Onsite 2 Days/Week)
Duration: Through 3/2/26
Schedule: Monday–Friday, EST Hours (9 AM – 6 PM)
Pay Rate: $50-$55/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a Scrum Master/Project Manager to join the Marketing Operations team, supporting the Data Ops and CIRM teams. This role will focus on managing scrum processes, resolving impediments, and ensuring the successful delivery of email, in-app, and push marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will be proactive, process-oriented, and an expert in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
- Oversee roadmap deliverables, tracking progress, identifying dependencies, and resolving obstacles
- Manage the intake process, ensuring tasks meet the definition of ready and are properly prioritized
- Escalate and resolve issues and roadblocks in a timely manner
- Collaborate across marketing, technical teams, and consultants to ensure smooth execution of projects
- Track and report on project progress, capacity planning, and team efficiency
- Identify process inefficiencies and apply Agile best practices to optimize team workflows
- Prepare reports, status updates, and maintain Jira/Confluence documentation
- Be available on-call when high-priority business needs arise
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in an Agile software development environment
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies with the ability to apply Agile theories effectively
- Hands-on experience with Jira (Jira Server) and Confluence
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across both marketing and technical teams
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, problem-solve, and drive projects to completion
- CSM Certification or equivalent experience
- Ability to create and present clear, data-driven reports
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with marketing initiatives and campaign operations
- Background in regulatory compliance and risk management
