Product Development and Sourcing Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Development & Sourcing Director to add to our team. This extremely collaborative role involves partnering with designers and vendors to manage the design, development, and sourcing of our jewelry and accessories, including everything from initial concept to finished product and packaging. Leading and guiding a team to ensure each product meets brand, quality, and financial targets.

Responsibilities Include:

· Manage the full product lifecycle for new items, from sample creation to final product, including quality control and issue resolution;

· Align products with vendor capabilities, considering cost, capacity, and lead times;

· Collaborate with vendors to resolve sample bottlenecks and maintain delivery timelines;

· Continuously evaluate the supplier base in regards to customer needs and help develop new vendors as needed;

· Conduct cost analyses to optimize profitability while maintaining quality and timely delivery;

· Negotiate MOQs, lead times, and costs;

· Manage liabilities;

· Maintain accurate system processes for sample and component images and details;

· Prepare design and sample status updates for meetings;

· Review market research and analyze sales data to evaluate product potential;

· Review existing product designs to address quality issues;

· Review and approve expenses;

· Actively participate with the team in troubleshooting and resolving product and timeline challenges to ensure project success.

Requirements:

· 5 years of development/production experience within the jewelry, fashion, and/or accessories field

· Highly organized with excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to hold team members accountable

· Domestic and overseas travel
