Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

Key Benefits:

• $1000 sign-on bonus! $1000 referral bonus!
• $30 based on experience.
• 2-2-3 nights only schedule, 6:00pm to 6:00am.
• Apprentice programs available after 1 year of employment.
• Full-time position, with benefit package (medical, dental and vision insurance).

Responsibilities:

• Work with the other Maintenance associates and team members, assist in all functions of the maintenance department as needed.
• Support operators with optimizing equipment.
• Identify equipment defects & document the repairs needed.
• LOTO – Verify all stored energy isolation with proper testing equipment.
• Basic facility maintenance & troubleshooting.
• Daily round checklists, door checks, walking the production line.
• Promote 5S in the maintenance department.
• Operate forklift and scissors lift.
• Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical prints and identifying the parts that need to be ordered.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance involving oiling, greasing, lubricating, changing belts and valves, and making minor adjustments.
• Assisting higher level technicians with troubleshooting.
• Enter works hours into system.
• Complete work orders/PM's.
• Creating work orders for identified equipment defects.
• Understand and follow GMP, SQF, & USDA policies.
• Writing & Communicating end of shift downtime reports.
• Maintain & follow inventory control SOP's.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Ability to effectively communicate with operators and technicians.
• Possess strong problem-solving and electro-mechanical skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, bend, kneel, and climb heights.
• Basic math, writing and computer skills.
• Ability to exhibit good judgement and decision-making in areas of maintenance.
• Ability to use basic hand tools for the electrical / mechanical trades.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment as required.
• Possess good interaction and team skills.
• Ability to understand written and spoken English instruction.
