Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, managing project costs, field labor, and subcontractors, while ensuring a safe on-time completion. This includes:
- Managing the installation of HVAC, Plumbing, and Medical Gas that meet code requirements and ensure timely installation.
- Maintaining full working knowledge of safely working in occupied hospitals or other healthcare facilities including infection control.
- Evaluating estimates and setting up the job costing system with labor, material, and subcontract cost codes.
- Negotiating and preparing vendor and subcontractor purchase orders and evaluating submittals to reflect contract drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 10 years of Project Management experience working for a mechanical subcontractor in commercial HVAC and Plumbing.
- Extensive experience in large-scale heavy commercial construction projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-versed in the industry and company competitors.
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Travel RequirementsThis role requires approximately 30-65% travel, which may involve climbing stairs, remaining in a stationary position, and repeating motions. Additionally, the candidate must be able to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. The physical demands of this role include light work that involves adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
